Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Payment

How do I secure my booking?

To reserve your photoshoot date, a deposit is usually required. The standard deposit amount is ¥15,000, although the amount may vary depending on the payment method. Once the deposit is received, your booking will be confirmed.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can choose between Stripe (PayPal) prepayment or cash payment on the day of the photoshoot. I will provide detailed payment instructions after your booking request is received.

Is the deposit refundable?

The deposit is generally non-refundable. However, if severe weather makes the photoshoot impossible, alternative arrangements may be discussed.

How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking at least 1–2 months in advance, especially during cherry blossom season and autumn foliage season. Last-minute bookings may be available depending on my schedule.

Mt. Fuji & Weather

Can you guarantee that Mt. Fuji will be visible?

Unfortunately, no. Mt. Fuji visibility depends entirely on weather conditions. Even on sunny days, clouds may cover the mountain unexpectedly.

What happens if Mt. Fuji is not visible?

If Mt. Fuji is hidden, we can still create beautiful photos around Lake Kawaguchiko. I know several locations that look stunning regardless of mountain visibility.

What if it rains on the day of our photoshoot?

Light rain often creates unique and romantic photographs. In the case of heavy rain or severe weather, we can discuss rescheduling options whenever possible.

What season is best for a Mt. Fuji photoshoot?

The best time for a Mt. Fuji photoshoot is generally from October through May, when visibility is typically at its highest. During the summer months, Mt. Fuji is more often hidden by clouds, humidity, and haze, especially in the afternoon.

Photoshoot Experience

We've never done a professional photoshoot before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Most of my clients have little or no experience in front of the camera. I will guide you through natural poses and help you feel comfortable throughout the session.

What should we wear for our photoshoot?

Neutral colors and coordinated outfits usually photograph best. After booking, I can provide outfit recommendations based on the season and location.

Can you recommend the best photoshoot locations?

Yes. Based on the season, weather forecast, crowd levels, and your preferences, I will recommend the most suitable locations around Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko.

What time is best for a Mt. Fuji photoshoot?

Early morning is usually the best time because crowds are smaller, the light is softer, and Mt. Fuji is often more visible.

Is there an extra fee for early morning photoshoots?

Yes. A ¥6,000 early morning fee applies to sessions that start before 9:00 AM.

Surprise Proposal Photography

Can you help plan my surprise proposal?

Yes. I regularly help clients plan surprise proposals around Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. I can assist with choosing the location, timing, proposal setup, and backup plans.

Can you secretly photograph the proposal?

Yes. I will remain discreet and capture the proposal naturally before revealing myself after the special moment.

Can you help arrange flowers for the proposal?

Yes. I can assist with bouquet arrangements and recommend options that suit your proposal style and budget.

Where is the best place to propose near Mt. Fuji?

The proposal location will be carefully selected and shared after your booking is confirmed. Based on the season and weather conditions, I will recommend the best spot for your surprise proposal. You'll receive detailed maps, videos, illustrations, and simple instructions so you know exactly where to go and what to do. There is no need to worry about planning the logistics—simply arrive at the location and focus on your partner and the special moment.

Photo Delivery

How many photos will we receive?

The number of delivered images depends on the package you choose. All delivered photos are professionally edited.

How long does it take to receive our photos?

Edited photos are typically delivered within 3-7 days after the photoshoot.

How will we receive our photos?

Your edited photos will be delivered through a private Google Photos album. You can easily view, download, and share your images from any device.

How long will the photos be available for download?

The Google Photos album will remain available for 30 days after delivery. Please make sure to download and back up all photos within this period, as the album may be removed after 30 days.

Will the photos be edited?

Yes. Every delivered image is carefully edited for color, exposure, and overall quality while maintaining a natural appearance.

Privacy & Portfolio Usage

Will our photos be shared on your website or social media?

Only with your permission. During the booking process, you can choose whether you allow your photos to be used for portfolio, website, or social media purposes.

Can we request complete privacy?

Absolutely. If you prefer to keep your photos private, they will never be published without your consent.

Travel Information

We don't have a car. Can we still book a photoshoot?

Absolutely. Many of my clients travel to Lake Kawaguchiko by train or bus. I can recommend convenient photoshoot locations that are accessible without a car. Local pick-up and drop-off assistance may also be available, so please don't hesitate to contact me if transportation is a concern.

Do you offer photoshoots outside Lake Kawaguchiko?

Yes. I also photograph sessions in other Mt. Fuji areas. Please contact me with your preferred location for a custom quote.

Photographer Information

Who will be my photographer?

Photoshoots on Sundays and Mondays are usually photographed by Ryoji. On other days, sessions may be photographed by one of my trusted partner photographers, who are experienced female photographers familiar with the Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko area. The assigned photographer depends on availability and scheduling, so please contact me if you would like more information before booking.
