Lake Kawaguchi Surprise Proposal / Nov 2025

In November, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a surprise proposal at Lake Kawaguchi, one of the most beautiful locations to capture Mt. Fuji in the background.

The couple came from the United States, joined by two of their close friends — four people in total — and it was such a joyful group to photograph.

That day was cold and windy, but the laughter and excitement easily warmed up the air. When the moment came for him to propose, her reaction was absolutely priceless — pure surprise, happiness, and emotion. Their friends were cheering, taking pictures, and celebrating together, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone.

As a professional photographer based near Mt. Fuji, moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Every proposal is unique, and this one was filled with love, friendship, and excitement. Even with the wind blowing across the lake, the connection between them made the photos shine with warmth.

I feel deeply honored that they trusted me to capture such a meaningful event. Lake Kawaguchi is one of the best spots in Japan for a proposal photoshoot, offering stunning views of Mt. Fuji, peaceful surroundings, and a romantic atmosphere — especially in autumn when the colors are beautiful.
