A Heartwarming Family Photo Session at Sunrise in Oishi Park

In March, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family from Singapore during their trip to Japan. We met early in the morning at Oishi Park, one of the most popular locations for a photo session near Mt. Fuji.

Although we were hoping to capture Mt. Fuji at sunrise, the weather had other plans.

Family Photo Session in Oishi Park Near Mt. Fuji

Oishi Park in the Kawaguchiko area is well known for its stunning views of Mt. Fuji, especially during sunrise. It is one of the best locations for a family photo session near Mt. Fuji, offering open space, seasonal flowers, and a peaceful atmosphere.

On this particular morning, Mt. Fuji was unfortunately hidden behind clouds. While this can happen often—especially depending on the season—it didn’t stop us from creating meaningful and beautiful photos.

Enjoying the Moment Even Without Mt. Fuji

Even without a clear view of Mt. Fuji, the session turned out to be something truly special.

The family was incredibly close and full of warmth. They focused on enjoying their time together rather than worrying about the weather. Because of that, I was able to capture natural smiles, genuine laughter, and relaxed moments throughout the session.

This is what makes a great family photo session in Japan—not just the location, but the connection between people.

Why Oishi Park Is Still a Great Photo Location

Even on a cloudy day, Oishi Park remains a beautiful place for photography.

The soft natural light created by the clouds actually helps produce gentle and flattering tones in photos. Combined with the greenery and open landscape, it offers a calm and elegant setting for family portraits.

For travelers visiting the Kawaguchiko area, Oishi Park is still one of the best spots for a photo session near Mt. Fuji, regardless of the weather.

Creating Meaningful Travel Memories in Japan

A photo session is more than just taking pictures—it’s about preserving your experience in Japan.

Whether Mt. Fuji is visible or not, every moment of your journey has value. My goal as a photographer is to capture those authentic moments so you can look back on them for years to come.

I am truly grateful to have been part of this family’s trip and to help them create lasting memories together.
